Morgan Deane
(she/her) Morgan Deane heads up Lasher Louis Productions and 508 Events focusing on multi-scale event and festival operations, production, and risk management. With over 15 years of live event experience, she has produced hundreds of events varying in size from 500 to 100K capacity on three continents. Before 508, she served as Director of Marketing for TAO Group in New York City. Morgan focused on nightlife and celebrity activations. Morgan also managed Marquee Las Vegas's opening and handled all talent and creative messaging for Tao Group's mega-club, including the relaunch of the New York City outpost in 2013. Morgan has experienced many levels and facets of the entertainment industry, beginning in 2002 as a club kid handing out fliers and running guest lists for legendary New York nightclub Arc/Vinyl while heading up operations for UK pirate radio station BreaksFM. Morgan worked her way up the ranks to produce events for Made Event, including Tiësto in Central Park and events for Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond at Madison Square Garden. She was also instrumental in the launch, production and operations of the Electric Zoo festival in New York in 2009 and led the festival's expansion to Mexico and Japan in the mid 2010’s. Since the entertainment industry ground to a halt in March 2020, Morgan has tirelessly worked with operators, trade organizations, governments, and municipalities on safe reopening strategies for Independent Venues in a time of COVID. In a collaboration with trusted industry colleagues Morgan published a comprehensive operational manual for independent venues in May of 2020 called A Light in the Night. She is a member of AFEM and serves as chair of the Reopening Committee for the New York Independent Venue Association (NYIVA). She is primary liaison with New York State and New York City on reopening logistics and operations. |
