Sarah Matz is an attorney in New York and partner at Adelman Matz P.C.

Sarah’s practice focuses on intellectual property protection and litigation, along with some corporate and transactional work.

Sarah began her career working with a group of entertainment attorneys while attending Fordham University School of Law. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, Sarah worked as an associate at Davis Shapiro & Lewit LLP, an entertainment law firm focused on artist representation.

In 2013 Sarah became one of the founding partners in Adelman Matz P.C., which provides full service representation for businesses and individuals, on both the transactional and litigation side. Adelman Matz’s practice focuses on all areas of business, including those related to the entertainment industry. In addition to handling general corporate matters, Adelman Matz provides legal services related to registration and protection of intellectual property (both copyrights and trademarks), litigation of all types of disputes in both Federal and State Courts including contract, commercial and partnership disputes, copyright and trademark infringement, ex parte and inter party proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Boards, rights reversion requests, and drafting and negotiation of many types of agreements. Adelman Matz’s clients include software and technology entrepreneurs, music festivals, bands, musicians, producers, filmmakers, writers, authors, photographers, photo archives, stylists, restaurants, chefs, clothing companies and public relations companies. Sarah is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and California.
